Warner Stone Zero-Silica Stone Surface Products

Warranty Coverage

This warranty applies only to Warner Stone zero-silica stone surfaces installed in indoor residential settings.

For commercial, industrial, or heavy-use environments, please refer to the separate Commercial Warranty.

Warner Stone guarantees that its residential zero-silica stone surface products are free from manufacturing defects and will perform as expected under normal residential use for fifteen (15) years from the original installation date. This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

“Normal residential use” refers to typical indoor household use in accordance with Warner Stone’s official Care and Maintenance Guidelines available at https://warnerstone.au/care-maintenance/, and excludes the following:

• Commercial-grade kitchen practices within a residence, such as high-frequency food preparation, catering, or industrial-style cooking equipment use
• Outdoor applications of any kind, including semi-outdoor kitchens, patios, or sunrooms
• Flooring installations
• Steam rooms, saunas, or other high-humidity enclosures

To activate this warranty, the product must be registered with Warner Stone within 60 days of installation. Unregistered products may not be eligible for claims.

What This Warranty Does Not Cover

This warranty does not cover any defect or damage resulting from:

Improper handling, fabrication, installation, or post-installation modifications, including:

• Fabrication or installation not performed by a qualified and approved stonemason/installer
• Installation on an uneven or unsupported substrate
• Structural stress due to incorrect installation methods

Physical damage, such as:

• Cracks, chips, or scratches caused by impact from heavy or sharp objects
• Standing, sitting, or placing excessive weight on benchtops

Prolonged or direct exposure to:

• Heat sources such as hot pots, pans, open flames, or radiant heaters
• Outdoor weather conditions, UV rays, fireplaces, or swimming pools

Moisture exposure:

• While non-porous, zero-silica stone is not waterproof. Prolonged water contact, especially on black or deep-colored surfaces, may cause discoloration and is not covered under this warranty.

Chemical exposure, including:

• High-alkaline or acidic cleaners
• Solvents such as trichloroethane or methylene chloride (e.g., paint removers)

Natural wear or aging, including:

• Fading, discoloration, surface dullness, or changes in texture from environmental exposure

Inherent product characteristics, including:

• Minormanufacturing batch variations in color, tone, and pattern between slabs or batches
• Book-matched or vein-matched slabs with a vein matching tolerance of up to ±15mm per vein fall within accepted industry standards.
• Differences between supplied product and showroom/sample pieces. Samples are indicative only and do not guarantee identical appearance.

Third-party or subsequent works:

• Damage caused by other trades, renovations, or modifications after initial installation

Natural disasters, including earthquakes, floods, or fire

Failure to follow Warner Stone’s Care and Maintenance Guidelines

Inspection & Acceptance Requirement

The purchaser is responsible for inspecting and approving the slabs prior to fabrication and installation. Any concerns must be addressed before fabrication begins. The purchaser’s approval at this stage constitutes acceptance of the product’s appearance and characteristics. Post-installation appearance-related claims will not be accepted.

Filing a Warranty Claim

To make a claim under this warranty, the purchaser must:

• Provide proof of purchase and installation date
• Submit a written notice of the defect to Warner Stone within 30 days of discovery
• Allow Warner Stone to inspect the product and determine the validity of the claim

If the product has been discontinued, Warner Stone reserves the right to replace it with a product of similar design, quality, and value. Exact color or pattern matches cannot be guaranteed.

Available Remedies

If Warner Stone confirms the issue is due to a manufacturing defect, we will, at our sole discretion:

• Repair the affected surface, or
• Replace the defective product with a similar item, or
• Issue a refund equal to the original product purchase price (excluding tax, freight, and installation costs)

This warranty does not cover:

• Removal, reinstallation, fabrication, or delivery costs
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Limitations of Liability

The maximum liability under this warranty is strictly limited to the original product purchase price (excluding tax, freight, and installation costs). This document represents the sole and exclusive residential warranty provided by Warner Stone for its zero-silica stone products. No other warranties, whether expressed or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, shall apply beyond the terms stated herein.
